LIQUOR SERIES
“Tequila is a distilled beverage made from the blue agave plant, primarily in the area surrounding the city Tequila,Jalisco,65 kilometres(40 mi) northwest of Guadalajara, and in the highlands of the western Mexican state Jalisco. This was the first painting I did in the series. It was not premeditated; in fact, the painting reminded me of Mexico and then tequila in that order. Arguably the most infamous of the liquors, tequila makes one crazy…eventually. I once handed out hundred dollar bills (Swedish Kronors) to strangers in Stockholm (of all places) after some great tequila shots and a big basketball win as a player for Klubb Patricia SE.
Notable Tequila drinkers – Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter, Jimmy Buffet, The Eagles and all gringos.”
(Each of the pieces in this series comes with artist insight as TEQUILA.)
TECH SERIES
“I wrote my Master thesis regarding tech stress and it’s continuing and rapid addictive qualities and society’s increasing dependence on it. These pieces reflect that social space in this part of human history.”
ARCHANGEL SERIES
“This painting series genesis is difficult to define. But, through meticulous research and introspection, I “saw” these beings in color and struggled to bring a glimpse of that divine energy to life on canvas. I invite you to contemplate the transcendent.”
BLUES SERIES
“Inspired by the captivating allure of blues music, I embarked on an abstract art series that translated the soulful melodies into a visual language. The introspective nature of the blues resonated with me and prompted me to explore the depths of emotion and expression through a palette dominated by shades of blue and, for some reason, red. I sought to capture the essence of the genre, while blasting various forms of blues music while painting.”
OZ SERIES
“I created visuals for a performance art piece that attempted to merge Pink Floyd’s seminal album “The Wall” with the beloved film “The Wizard of Oz.” The reason behind this artistic collaboration was to weave together the introspective themes found in both. By combining these two cultural mediums, I hoped to provoke thought and ignite the imagination, delving into the intersection of personal introspection, the pressures of society, and the transformative power of imagination. Through this artistic fusion, I sought to create a thought-provoking and visually captivating experience for the audience, inviting them to embark on a journey of self-reflection and exploration.”
IMPACT SERIES
“There were originally 5 pieces that are 6 feet by 6 feet. Two are in Indianapolis , one is in Switzerland, one’s whereabouts is unknown and the last piece is available for purchase.”
